The first section of Line 1 was opened on March 16, 2006, the second on April 17, 2007. The track leads from Banseok Station in Yuseong-gu to Panam Station in Dong-gu. The construction of a Line 2 was planned to begin in 2008, but is delayed because Government funding has been diverted to other projects.〔(네이버 :: 지식iN )〕 "Line 2" will have construction begin "Soon" according to statements from the Daejeon Metropolitan Government.
